The power of West Gate Foundation’s Mission is Faith, Strength, and Evidence-Based practices expressed through compassionate service.

We are Faith in Action.

Community.

Is our sphere of operation and service. Community is important to us because it is our opportunity to express our human purpose to serve and minister to those we interact with daily. Community allows us to come out of the four walls and let our work testify to our beliefs.

Economics.

The freedoms and resources available to us should allow us to confront and build viable solutions against poverty. Our economy of life is directly reflected in our quality of life. True wealth is first birthed in our collective health and stability and then grows into the financial realm.

Support Services.

One of the major issues we face as a community is our lack of knowledge of the resources available to us. Support Services connects our community members to those resources and provides them with the support to maintain those resources and multiply them.

Faith-Based.

We are faith-based because we share a common faith in the Way and follow the examples of service prescribed biblically. We are not looking for converts, we are looking to serve. Our compassion permeates our administration of services and strategies.

Strength-Based.

Our focus of approach is assessing for strengths in an individual and building on those. Many of those we serve have been told all about their weaknesses, they have mastered those. What they truly need is an introduction and support of their strengths.

Evidence-Based.

Faith-based does not mean anti-science or anti-research. We acknowledge the need to have a balance of both. We seek to implement those best practices that don’t neglect the dignity and strength of those we serve. Evidence-based programs enhance our continuum of care.
