WestGate Foundation Support Service is established to mend the conventional process of submitting applications to SSA for homeless and disabled clients in order to receive needed financial assistance.
Without support services such as WGFSS, the applicant is sent into the SSA maze alone to apply for their benefits. Mental or physical impairments, coupled with a lack of significant documentation needed to navigate the SSA application process, the applicant suffers from extended process periods or multiple denials.
We sign with them a SSA 1696 (representation) and an SSA 827 (ROI), compile all medical documentation and write a Medical Summary Report (with or without a co-sign from an Acceptable Medical Source) and submit the application before the 60-day deadline from the protected filing date (date of submitting an Intent to Apply).
